TJAPSKBSK volunteers provide support to impoverished communities, particularly the homeless residing in slum areas. These individuals often construct makeshift homes from available materials and lack basic necessities, such as proper clothing and blankets, leading to numerous winter-related deaths each year. The volunteers ponder their responsibility to help these vulnerable individuals live with hope and opportunities.
In our blanket distribution program, we provide blankets and warm clothes to impoverished families and abandoned individuals facing harsh winter conditions. Our goal is to alleviate the suffering of economically and socially disadvantaged people during the cold wave. Last year, we distributed approximately 10,200 blankets to the beneficiaries across several districts, including Darjeeling, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Purulia, and Bankura.
Services to the poor is a means to engage with God, as demonstrated by the year-round efforts of volunteers.
