To revive Ayurveda as a primary mode of treatment, the government has launched several initiatives focused on the propagation and marketing of medicinal plants. Globally recognized for its minimal side effects compared to allopathic medicine, Ayurveda has gained significant importance in recent years. As the birthplace of this ancient system, the country now stands at the center of its resurgence. A dedicated think tank has developed a comprehensive strategy involving nearly 200 members to identify potential areas and another 100 members to support cultivation and marketing activities. The organization is also in active discussions with companies, especially those within the AYUSH sector, with the goal of securing a 20% market share by 2027. By 2025, approximately 500 hectares of land are expected to be brought under cultivation, marking a major milestone in the large-scale revival of traditional medicinal practices.
